Golfball sized hail reported near Griffin and I-75. This storm has developed into a nice squall line moving north which impacts practically all of Broward West of 95. The rain has started with a brief burst, then settled down, and I’m sitting on the porch listening to nearly constant thunder. The skies to the south are ominous. Its just a matter of minutes now.
This is the first real rainy season day in my opinion. Looking at the radar you can see a constant line of storms developing off the SB in the SW and nearly all the Everglades has been soaked. This is a very good sign. With any luck these conditions will remain throughout the summer and solve our water crisis. Thats a pipe dream. The real rain will likely come from a tropical system or two.
