Virtually no rain since the 26th

It’s crispy dry out there over the past 2 weeks.  Today’s AFD offers a little hope for rain.

THE UPPER
LOW/TROUGH SHOULD MOVE LITTLE THROUGH THIS PERIOD AND THIS WILL
KEEP THE LOCAL AREA UNDER A MOIST SOUTHWESTERLY DIVERGENT FLOW
ALOFT. DIURNAL HEATING TODAY SHOULD PROVIDE ENOUGH ENERGY FOR THE
DEVELOPMENT OF SHOWERS AND FEW THUNDERSTORMS. INCREASING LOW LEVEL
FLOW SHOULD HELP IN THE FORMATION OF SHWRS/TSTMS BY INCREASING LOW
LEVEL CONVERGENCE...ESPECIALLY ACROSS SOUTH AND SOUTHEASTERN AREAS.
