I’m going to let the AFD speak for itself.

.DISCUSSION...MID AND UPPER LEVEL RIDGING REMAINS OVER THE FLA
PENINSULA THROUGH THU THEN RETROGRADES W OVER THE GULF AND SOUTHERN
GREAT PLAINS AS A BROAD TROUGH DEVELOPS OVER THE ATLC E OF THE FLA
PENINSULA. AT THE SURFACE...A SURFACE RIDGE WILL REMAIN STRETCHED
FROM THE ATLC ACROSS THE SOUTHERN PORTIONS OF THE PENINSULA THROUGH
THE PERIOD.

FOR THE SHORT TERM...TODAY THROUGH THU...WITH RIDGING ALOFT...MAINLY
AFTERNOON CONVECTION MAY BE SUPPRESSED A BIT. BUT TSTMS WILL DEVELOP
ALONG THE E/W COAST SEA BREEZES TODAY THROUGH THU. THOUGH WINDS
ALOFT EASTERLY...OVERALL WIND FLOW WILL BE SO LIGHT THAT SLOW OR
VERY LITTLE MOVEMENT OF THE TSTMS MAY LEAD TO LOCALLY HEAVY RAINS
THAT COULD FLOOD LOW LYING AND FLOOD PRONE AREAS. IT WILL REMAIN HOT
AND HUMID WITH AFTERNOON TEMPERATURES AROUND 90 AT THE IMMEDIATE
COASTS BUT UP TO MID 90S MOST INTERIOR AREAS BUT UPPER 90S POSSIBLE
IN INLAND COLLIER. MIN TEMPERATURES WILL BE IN THE 70S INTERIOR AND
W WITH E COAST AND E METRO AREAS HOVERING AROUND 80. HEAT INDICES
TODAY AND WED 100-105 AT THE COASTS...105-110 INTERIOR EXCEPT IN
EASTERN COLLIER AND WESTERN BROWARD 110-115.

.EXTENDED PERIOD...FRI THROUGH MON...WITH THE MID/UPPER LEVEL
RIDGING WEAKENING A BIT...THE SLIGHT INCREASE IN INSTABILITY MAY
LEAD TO AN INCREASE IN THE AFTERNOON AND EARLY EVENING CONVECTION.
ALSO...THE EASTERLY BREEZE OFF OF THE ATLC MAY INCREASE NEXT
WEEKEND COOLING THE EASTERN AREAS OFF A BIT.

I don’t have much more to add to the forecast.  Lets talk about what happened yesterday.  The same light winds that caused some flooding in hollywood will prevail today. It is just a matter of where the storm pops.
