13 June 2010

Nothing interesting happened all weekend.  Hot, very hot, and even hotter days.  Some thunder was heard on Sunday around 1:30p, but it moved off west into the Everglades.  Easterlies prevail, pushing anything that develops off to our west. Subsidence rules, which pretty much cancels decent afternoon T-storms for the metro.

Forecast for the beginning of the week:

Extra hot, very high minimum temps overnight – 81F lo, which ties a hot lo record.  Heat indices for Mon-Tues approach 110F.  Same synoptic setup. So it’ll be brutally hot all week, first real chance of anything more than a passing t-storm is late – maybe friday.
