Yesterday also yielded no convection!  There does seem to be a trough moving through which ought to wet up the atmosphere. It looks like the weak cap might be gone with the trough, while high pressure keeps the dreaded easterlies firmly in place.

Chance of storms is only 10%, with a blistering hot heat index over 100.  Record breaking is possible with the forecast at 93F and the record at 94F.

at 0918, temp is 84F / 77F DP / 93F HI.

EXPECT VERY HIGH HEAT INDICES THIS
AFTERNOON...POSSIBLY REACHING AROUND 110F

At 1103 we’ve reached: 89F / 74F DP / 98F HI.

And I think we topped out at 1453 – 92F / 75F DP/ 102F HI.

Its like wearing a sweater on your face out there
