Synoptics show a very active convective potential with decent moisture. Steering will again be key as NOAA pegs precip chance at 50%. CAPE is over 2k, LI is -3.  Here is the AFD:

SHORT TERM...TODAY THROUGH SATURDAY...WATER VAPOR LOOPS DETECT A
SHORT WAVE MOVING THRU THE N GULF OF MEX JUST S OF LA WHICH NAM/GFS
AND ECMWF ALL DEPICT MOVING ACROSS THE FLA PENINSULA DURING MAX
HEATING TODAY. THOUGH MAIN DYNAMICS ASSOCIATED WITH THE SHORT WAVE
WILL BE N OF LAKE OKEE...DIVERGENT FLOW ALOFT DUE TO THE NEGATIVE
TILT...COMBINED WITH AMPLE LOW LEVEL MOISTURE AND SEA/LAKE BREEZE
DEVELOPMENT LEAD TO AN ACTIVE DAY OF S FLA CONVECTION WHICH WILL

Looks like we might get a nice show today!

EDIT: 1030 – Quite an intense little circle of red appeared on radar and torrential rain resulted.  No thunder, weak outflow.
